Family, friends, remember Kayla Pittman. ‘I was blessed to know her.’

It was an emotional night at the Lighthouse Pier in Biloxi where friends and family came to say their goodbyes to Kayla Pittman, the woman who tragically passed away in a car accident in Jackson County on Monday.

Everyone gathered at the Lighthouse Pier where Kayla and her husband Chase met for a balloon release in her honor. They wrote thoughtful messages on banners and balloons that were later released after shared moments and prayers.

Kayla’s mother, Crystal, and her husband Chase wish this was only a dream, but say they will push through for her children. Chase said, “I’m just blessed to have the chance to be with her and I was blessed, anybody was blessed to know her.”

Crystal said, “She had a beautiful soul and she would help anybody, anybody, beautiful soul. So, I know heaven got one good angel. Just always hold your kids tight even if they’re grown because they could walk out that door and never come back like mine did.”

The family travels back to Tennessee tomorrow to bring Kayla back home to her final resting place.
