Victim identified in fatal cyclist and vehicle crash

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove has confirmed the identity of the woman hit by a car while riding her bicycle. She has been identified as 54-year-old Carmella Prestia of Gulfport.
According to Gulfport police, the crash happened on Kremer Bridge on Cowan Road. Prestia suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
