Vick Ballard Signs with the Saints

A Pascagoula native and former Mississippi State standout is headed back to the Gulf Coast.
The New Orleans Saints have signed 25-year-old ex-Colt Vick Ballard. Ballard was drafted by the Colts in the fifth round in 2012 and had a terrific rookie season, running for 814 yards. However, he’s only played in one game since then due to a number of serious injuries. He tore his ACL in 2013 and then tore his Achilles in 2014. The Colts reluctantly let him go last September after a series of hamstring injuries.
Hopefully, Ballard can get healthy and prove to be a good addition to the Who Dat Nation.
