Veterans Mardi Gras Parade

This morning, the VA Medical Center in Biloxi let the good times roll for the annual Mardi Gras parade.

The parade featured floats crewed by veterans, the Krewe of Gemini, the City of Biloxi Honor Guard and fire department, police vehicles, and classic cars from the Corvette Club of Mississippi.

Dozens of veterans took part in the celebration and say they are thankful the VA puts this parade on each year. “It’s good. It’s a good feeling. They have all the veterans out here spending time with each other and enjoying each other’s company.”

“I had so much fun today because I never really experienced Mardi Gras in the past. This one was amazing for them to have a Mardi Gras just for us on the VA campus. We have our own Mardi Gras. You have New Orleans and Mobile, but now you have Biloxi VA Mardi Gras.”
