Veterans Day Breakfast at D’Iberville High
In light of Veterans Day on Sunday, the Junior ROTC and the community service class at D’Iberville High School hosted a Veterans Day Breakfast this morning.
Students had a chance to shake hands and mingle with veterans before the special service began. The event was nothing short of a patriotic celebration with the posting of the colors, a service roll call, and a special guest speaker.
This is the fourth year the Junior ROTC and the community service class put this Veterans Day Breakfast together. Every year it draws in large crowds. JROTC Battalion Commander Jacob Maxon said, “They give so much and they dedicate their lives to the protection of everyone. They do things without expectations of rewards so we just want to make sure that they know that what they do is not worth nothing. Their sacrifice is worth everything to us.”
