Vendors set up for first ever Trader’s Village
If you enjoy history, homemade art, and family fun you may want to come out to Beauvoir this weekend.
Vendors and tradesmen were setting up in Biloxi today for Beauvoir’s first annual trader’s village. The three day festival will have handcrafted trinkets for sale, historic interpreters, Scottish dancers, concerts, and food. The Beauvoir grounds will also be open while Trader’s Village is going on.
Organizers tell News 25 everything the vendors will be selling is homemade. Director of Marketing and Programs Kitsaa Stevens said, “Everything they make is one of a kind, an original piece. When you purchase it, you’re buying an original. They will be making soap right here on property, just like they did back in the 1800s. It is period. It’s educating and commemorating that particular time in history and what better place to do it than Beauvoir?”
Trader’s Village starts 9 a.m. on Friday and will wrap up Sunday afternoon at 5.
