Valentine’s Day Surprise

Bay Cove Assisted Living residents wanted to make sure no one went without a valentine including those at the Biloxi Police Department.
Dozens of officers welcomed the seniors who were eager to hand out bags of treats to the local heroes. This is the first time residents traveled to the police station, but isn’t the first time they have shown their appreciation to local law enforcement.
Bay Cove residents tell News 25 they also invite local first responders out for lunch and enjoy getting to meet and talk with them. Bay Cove resident Jerry Little said, “We all thought it would be good just to come and show our appreciation. I don’t know how much of that they hear from the public, but we think it should be more of it, you know.”
Maj. Christopher De Back with Biloxi PD said, “We certainly appreciate the recognition and support from the public. It was a great experience meeting with the guests and that kind of stuff and we appreciate all the things they brought us.”
Those with Bay Cove tell News 25 they hope to make this an annual event.
