USM’s Ito Smith breaks touchdown record

Ito Smith had himself a day on Saturday, running himself right into the record books with three touchdowns.
He now has 48 for his USM career, surpassing the 46 of Damion Fletcher. In addition, Smith became just the tenth player in FBS history to accumulate 4,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards in a career.
Senior Defensive back Kelsey Douglas also had the game of a lifetime, returning two interceptions for touchdowns, making him just the fourth Conference USA player to ever do that. Today, he took home league honors for defensive player of the week.
The Golden Eagles secured their third-straight winning season with a 66-21 win over Charlotte.
