USM Gulf Park Campus Appoints Vice President

Today the University of Southern Mississippi announced their decision to permanently place Dr. Steve Miller as vice president of the Gulf Park Campus.
Dr. Steve Miller is ready to take his experience in higher education, along with his knowledge of South Mississippi and move full speed ahead at USM’s Gulf Park Campus.
“We’ve got several high profile projects, very important projects for the campus that we’re working on, so look forward to seeing those come through to fruition,” Dr. Miller said.
Just a few months ago, Dr. Miller helped cut the ribbon to open a new fitness center, health clinic and a school of social work on the USM Gulf Park Campus. And he’s already looking ahead to another academic building going up in the next year: “we were fortunate to get a legislative appropriation for a brand new academic building. So we’re working as hard as we can to start construction of a new academic college of business and health building, which is extremely needed on this campus.”
USM President Rodney Bennett says Miller’s communication skills and ability to build strong relationships will make him a success as he becomes a permanent vice president and prepares to take the Gulf Park Campus to its next chapter.
