USM Baseball Head Coach Scott Berry wins 400th career game

As a part of USM’s series win over Jacksonville State over the weekend, Southern Miss Head Baseball Coach Scott Berry is now a part of some pretty elite company in the win column.

On Saturday, Coach Berry earned his 400th career victory as the Black and Gold skipper by way of a 6-0 shutout victory.

That puts Berry right alongside the likes of Hill Denson’s 468 wins and Corky Palmer’s 458 wins as the only three Golden Eagles managers to reach that milestone.

Now 401 and counting, Berry could realistically pass both Southern Miss legends during the 2022 campaign.

USM is showing no signs of slowing down under his watch, coming off four straight 40 plus win seasons minus last year’s mark of 12-4 due to COVID-19.

The Golden Eagles are off to a 6-5 start so far this season.
