USM alum Nick Sandlin to make MLB Debut with Indians

On the diamond, Southern Miss baseball alum Nick Sandlin is ready for his call up to the show, reportedly set to be promoted by the Cleveland Indians from the alternate training site prior to their upcoming series against the Chicago White Sox starting Friday.

Sandlin was a second-round selection in the 2018 MLB First Year Player Draft and is now the top relief pitching prospect of the tribe.

During his junior season at USM, he was named the C-Spire Ferriss Trophy Winner, Conference USA Pitcher of the Year, and National Pitcher of the Year courtesy of Perfect Game and Rawlings.
