USM alum/ Falcons rookie Ito Smith first to score rushing TD in 3 straight games

Former Southern Miss running back Ito Smith continues to shine in the NFL.

On Sunday, the fourth-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons found the end zone on the ground for the third week in a row which is a new franchise rookie record.

The judge is seeing extended action in the absence of Devonta Freeman and could be the replacement to Tevin Coleman when he hits free agency.

Smith is USM’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards and total touchdowns.
