Update on new developments in the City of Biloxi

The downtown Biloxi scene continues to get bigger and better thanks to some new recent development news.

Just last week, the Machado Patano Engineering Service plans to lease out a courtyard space to Martini’s, a downtown bar and restaurant in Biloxi. It’s going to the Architectural Historical Review Commission in the next couple of weeks for the next step going forward.

This, among other projects like the Preserve on Shiner’s Boulevard, which will include 209 new single-family lots, are developments that continue to make the City of Biloxi thrive during the pandemic. City of Biloxi Community Development Director Jerry Creel said, “A lot of projects going on. We are excited. COVID hasn’t put a stop on everything that we are doing. So, I’m really excited to see that development and growth continue. We are going to continue to work with these people as long as they are bringing projects to the table.”

Other projects still in the works include the Blake Retirement Home, the Margaritaville expansion, and a new restaurant going into the old Mardi Gras Museum.
