Update on ice skating at the Coliseum

It’s been a few weeks since ice skating returned to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and there’s new ways to enjoy the ice this month.

Yesterday kicked off theme nights on the rink which run each Wednesday and Thursday through January 14th.

You can also book birthday parties on the rink for up to ten people or set a time to reserve the rink privately.

COVID-19 protocols are in place and surfaces, skates, and other items are sanitized in between sessions.

Special Events Coordinator Jamie Nash says the theme nights are a fun way to bond with family and friends this holiday season. “People are looking for something fun to do, something exciting and different to you know like you said, come out and bond with one another, give your best Star Wars outfit or your 90s, bring it on!”

Coliseum officials remind skaters that they skate at their own risk while on the rink. For more information on tickets and dates they can be found at mscoastcoliseum.com.
