United Way Campaign Collections Luncheon

The mission of the United Way for Jackson and George Counties is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. That’s exactly what their campaign collections luncheon was all about.
Today’s luncheon at Pelican Landing in Moss Point recognized those who have contributed to their annual fundraising campaign as well as revealing how much the organization has raised for 2015. To date, UWJGC has raised $1.6 million through numerous workplace campaigns and individual donations. This year’s theme is “painting our future.”
2015 Campaign Chair Monica Cooper said, “This year, we chose that theme because we know that it takes a lot of different colors and a lot of different brush strokes to make the future brighter, it takes a lot of people. Today, we’re looking around the room seeing so many people from our Youth United Way being represented, campaign workplace people are here, people from the community, a segment that represents lots of people across Jackson County and George County.”
They haven’t quite met their $2 million goal yet but there’s still time, donations will continue to be accepted through December 31st for the 2015 campaign. Visit unitedwayjgc.org to learn how you can help.
