Uber Returns to the Coast

It’s official, Uber has finally arrived back on the Coast.
A new Mississippi law gave the ride-sharing company the green light for business in the Gulfport and Biloxi area. Uber pulled its services from the Coast about a year ago after disagreements with local officials.
Uber provides 24 hour rides at a cheaper cost than cabs. The company is growing in populated cities in the United States.
News 25 ordered an Uber today and caught up with driver John Pellicciari about what it’s been like so far operating on the Coast. “It’s been great. Everyone’s been wonderful, very personable, very nice, no problems whatsoever. I hope the people will look into us now that we’re back here and take advantage of us and use us so there’s less accidents and trouble.”
Pellicciari tells News 25 having Uber back will lessen the amount of drunk drivers on the road.
Anyone on the Coast who is looking for work can see if they qualify to be a driver by going to Uber’s website.
