U.S. district judge throws out Houston Nutt lawsuit against Ole Miss

Today, the civil lawsuit versus Ole Miss was dismissed by a U.S. District Court judge in Mississippi.
The former head football coach of the Rebels was claiming Freeze, as well as Athletic Director Ross Bjork, had violated Nutt’s separation agreement by creating a false narrative about his connection to the NCAA investigation.
Ultimately both sides agreed the federal court didn’t have the jurisdiction to rule on the case, but according to ESPN, Nutt’s attorney says he plans to re-file the suit in state court.
Freeze stepped down after the case led to an investigation into his phone records, revealing what school officials referred to as a pattern of personal misconduct.
