Two suspects arrested in connection to deadly Monday morning shooting in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV) — Two suspects were arrested Wednesday in connection to a shooting on Monday that left one man dead and another injured.
The Gulfport Police Department say they have arrested Aaron Mays and Gitano Lewis.
On Monday, the Gulfport Police Department responded to 39th Avenue in response to a shooting. Two individuals were shot and one of the individuals later died at a local hospital.
After booking and processing, Mays was charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault. Mays’ bond was set at one million dollars.
Lewis was charged with aggravated assault and accessory after the fact. Lewis’ bond was set at $500,000.
The Gulfport Police Department say they would like to thank the public for coming forward with information that led to the arrests and the D’Iberville Police Department for locating the suspects.
