Two juveniles arrested at D’Iberville High for possession of a weapon on school property

Today, November 12, 2020, Chief Wayne Payne announces the arrest of two juveniles on the charge of Possession of a Weapon on School Property.

Captain Marty Griffin said school officials at the D’Iberville High School alerted law enforcement after receiving information a student was in possession of a weapon on campus. Officers immediately acted on the information and were able to identify the two juveniles involved. The weapon was recovered unloaded and both juveniles were released to the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Center.

Chief Payne commends the school for taking such quick action when it comes to the safety of our children and having a zero tolerance policy and the officers involved bringing this to a swift conclusion.
