Two Facing Bribery Charges in Epps Case
Two more people have been indicted on bribery charges in the kick back corruption case involving former MDOC Commissioner Christopher Epps.
Fifty-four year-old Teresa Malone of Carthage has been indicted on charges for paying kickbacks to then-Corrections Commissioner Epps in exchange for a consulting contract. She’s the wife of former Democratic lawmaker Bennett Malone.
Fifty-three year-old Mark Longoria, the CEO of a drug testing corporation, is set to appear in federal court tomorrow after being charged with conspiracy to pay bribes with the intention of ultimately bribing Epps when he was commissioner.
Both face years in prison and hefty monetary fines.
