Two Deaths & Two Weather Related Injuries

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reports two deaths and at least two injuries statewide so far after the large storm system moved through our state.
A child from Rankin County died at university medical center from an electric shock after coming into contact with a live wire in floodwater.
Another death was reported in Holmes County.
MEMA reports there were more than 16-thousand customers without power statewide.
Initial damage reports show flash flooding and several streets flooded during high tide in Hancock County, among 25 other counties statewide reporting damage.
No major damage was reported in Harrison or Jackson Counties.
MEMA continues to assess the damage state-wide and urges the public to report damages to your local emergency management agency.
