Two arrested in Pearl River County after traffic stop

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is sharing details about an arrest made at the end of April.

A traffic stop was made on April 30 around 9 that morning.

Inside the car was James Collier and Clarence Ladner III. The traffic stop happened on I-59 near mile marker 27.

Collier was actively wanted by the sheriff’s department for a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute.

He was taken into custody immediately.

During the stop, the deputy gained a search warrant for the car, finding Ladner attempting to throw items out.

Ladner was throwing out a baggie containing meth. Additional meth was found during the search. He was also taken into custody.
