Two Accidents Back up Roadways

A truck driver is counting his blessings this morning after walking away with no injuries when his 18-wheeler flipped over on I-10 eastbound.
The truck was carrying loads of lumber and overturned two miles after Exit 57 around 5:15 a.m. Lanes were blocked off and traffic began to back up which caused another accident between two vehicles.
Three people suffered minor injuries, but Mississippi Highway Patrol shut down all lanes until the scene was clear.
The wife of the truck driver embraced him on the side of the road, extremely thankful he was alive. “I’m blessed. I’m thankful. I’m just thankful, that’s all just thankful. Just blessed. I’m just glad he’s okay.”
Police opened lanes back up around 9:30.
