Another hot day in southern Mississippi, but some relief is on the horizon. Expect the next few days to be very similar with a moderate chance of rain, around 40%, and temperatures near 96 along the coast. Inland temperatures will stay near 100 during the hottest parts of the day with heat index values approaching 110, so limit outdoor exposure as much as possible during these times. A cold front will approach our area by Friday, bringing clouds, showers, and around a five degree cool off. Night time lows will stay near 80, with inland areas staying closer to 77. A surface High to our left and a Low to our right will cause winds to retain a northern component, but will remain light or average.
