Trustmark Grand Opening in Gulfport

The historic Hatten Building in downtown Gulfport is vacant no more. This afternoon, Trustmark employees, state officials, and even a beauty queen gathered to celebrate the opening of a new branch there.
The Hatten Building has been vacant since Hurricane Katrina and Trust Mark Gulf Coast President Eric Brown welcomes the opportunity to bring the building back to life.
Trustmark has also teamed up with Pages of Love and the reigning Mrs. Mississippi to collect books for children with medical illnesses. Her drive has rounded up more than 26,000 books this year.
“We are excited this is our first grand opening, our first location in Gulfport for a full service bank. We’re in the historic Hatten Building. We’re excited. The Hatten Building has been vacant since Katrina and we were able, as a tenant, to be involved with bringing such an important old building in downtown Gulfport back,” said Brown.
The bank is located on the corner of 14th Street and 24th Avenue in downtown Gulfport.
