Trucking company damaged in overnight fire in Harrison County

An overnight fire in Harrison County damaged a trucking company.

According to Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan, Harrison County Fire Rescue responded to a business on Canal Road around 2:30 a.m. after a smoke alarm went off.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the building.

Gulfport Fire and the CRTC were also called to assist.

The fire was contained by firefighters with the help of the building’s sprinkler system.

No injuries have been reported and officials are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
