Triumph Church hosted ‘Food Truck Day’ on Saturday

One Gulfport area church has been giving back to the community since the start of the COVID-19 crisis. They continued that tradition on Saturday with a new twist.

Triumph Church partnered with Molina Healthcare to host a ‘Food Truck Day’ for members of the community.

Local residents had the chance to receive free catfish plates, burgers, and snowballs for the kids in the food truck setting.

Organizers say these continued food drives fill a critical need in the community.  Pastor Tyrone Lewis said, “A lot of the community lost their jobs, don’t have income and don’t have food. So, it’s very important that they have food, especially for the kids. They’re out of school.”

Triumph Church is planning another large food drive for the community on June 6th.
