This afternoon the Biloxi city council gave the go ahead to rezone areas around Treasure Bay.
This is all part of the casinos expansion project which will take place in three different phases.
The first phase will add a parking lot on the west side of the property.
The second phase will take place on the east side and add a new three story parking garage with a restaurant on the top floor.
For the third phase… 10 thousand square feet will be added to the second floor gaming space, which will house more slots, tables and restaurants.
Jerry Creel, Biloxi Community Development Director says, “Treasure Bay had acquired property on the west side of their existing operation, and needed have that added to their previously approved master plan. Also, they had to have it rezoned to water front in order for it to be used as part of the gaming operation.”
The parking lot is expected to be completed by the end of this year… And the entire project by the end of 2019.
