Trash Pick-up Along Highway 90

Large crowds of spring breakers gathered along the Gulf Coast this past weekend and some left behind unwanted trash.
Crews from the Harrison County Sand Beach Authority picked up garbage along Highway 90 in Biloxi earlier this morning. Even though some commented on Facebook complaining about the leftover trash, one Biloxi resident tells News 25 the condition of the beaches severely improved from last year and the amount of trash decreased tremendously. Biloxi resident Watson Carl Brock said, “Last year on the Monday, there was beer bottles, everything, thrown all over the streets. I’m really impressed that they’ve organized and it’s clean today. It took a lot for them to do that and we appreciate it, the locals do.”
The Harrison County Sand Beach Authority got a head start with the clean-up and was out picking up trash early Sunday morning.
