Trailer Home Nearly Destroyed in Saucier

One Saucier home has been left barely standing after a fire ripped through it on Tuesday evening.
Around 7 o’clock last night, the Harrison County Fire Department received a call from a neighbor about a fire engulfing a trailer home on Herman Ladner Road in Saucier. When they arrived, they discovered fire coming out of the middle of the trailer. Fortunately, there was no one home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Harrison County fire officials are still trying to track down the owner of the trailer. While they may have lost a good bit of their home, they still may be able to recover some of their belongings.
Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said, “The first units that arrived on scene were able to get water on it quickly but the fire was so advanced in the middle of the trailer that it’s caused some significant damage. We were able to keep it from destroying the entire trailer, so either end of the living area, they may be able to salvage some stuff out of there.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
