The third annual Touch-A-Truck event took place at Long Beach Harbor on Saturday.
This was a fundraising event that provides kids the chance to experience life-size vehicles and meet community leaders like firemen and police officers. Proceeds from the event went towards the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce High School Scholarship and small business grants.
Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Director Gabrielle Rose says all of the children had a great time meeting leaders and blowing horns on the trucks. “We have had a non-stop crowd. It has been amazing. Since we started at 10 a.m., it has been a constant flow of people. It has been so exciting to watch all of the exciting faces as these children get to meet their heroes.”
Long Beach Chamber of Commerce made sure children received yellow construction hats as a party favor before they left the event.
