Tornado Damage in Mississippi
Clean-up will continue after a series of tornadoes tore across Mississippi and Alabama Tuesday afternoon.
This video comes from Collinsville, Mississippi where a homeowner caught one of the tornados on camera. The severe storm, which brought lashing rain and powerful winds, damaged a number of buildings. While there was plenty of damage, officials say no one was injured in the storm. Collinsville town leaders say they will request the town be declared a disaster zone.
Pastor Wade Ricks said, “I took off running. I told my son to get inside and we just crawled under a desk and started praying.”
The National Weather Service is trying to determine how many tornadoes touched down in Mississippi yesterday.
