Today is Primary Election Day in Mississippi; Polls open until 7 p.m.

It’s time to make your voices heard, Mississippi! Today is the state’s Primary Election.

Candidates that voters will see on their ballot on the national scale are for the Presidential Primary Election and in Mississippi you’ll see candidates for the U.S. representatives for Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District and the U.S. Senate.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. this morning and Frank Corder with ‘Y’all Politics’ say it is very important everyone gets out and votes regardless of their political affiliation. “Voting is one of those rights and opportunities that you have as a U.S. citizen that you should always exercise, whether you are on the left or the right or whatever your political affiliation may be. It is important to cast your ballot today.”

Polls close at 7 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your photo ID with you to your polling location.
