Tim Bennett Speaks at Baseball Luncheon

The co-owner of the Biloxi Shuckers say MGM Park is a dream come true but his journey in helping baseball come to the Coast wasn’t easy.
President of Overtime Sports and co-owner of the Biloxi Shuckers Tim Bennett was this week’s guest speaker at the “Our Love Affair with Baseball” luncheon in Biloxi.
The luncheon happens every Friday at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi.
Bennett tells News 25 there were nights where he slept at MGM Park just working to get it open. “It brings tears to my eyes. There are times I sit back and look over and see that stadium there, knowing how long it took, the fact that it took so long is what made me more proud of what it took to get it there and that I didn’t quit.”
Bennett says bringing baseball to the Coast was a community effort and he couldn’t have done it without help from Barry Lyons.
WXXV is a proud sponsor of the baseball luncheon.
