Thursday 091715 Forecast

Moisture from the Gulf is lingering near the coastline, but dry air being brought from northeasterly winds associated with high pressure are keeping the humidity in check. Some patchy fog is expected tonight, which will linger into the late morning before clearing up. A surface low pressure system, working in conjunction with an upper level trof, is creating a potential tropical system in the Eastern Gulf. The system is expected to continue northeastward across Florida, bringing heavy rains and thunderstorms, but only a 30% chance of tropical formation over the next 5 days. Temperatures will begin in the upper 80s and slowly increase into the low to mid 90s into next week, when a cold front will bring slight rain chances and another dry air mass our way.
