Three Biloxi Officers On Leave

Three officers are on administrative leave while the Mississippi Bureau Of Investigation looks into last week’s fatal shooting.

Biloxi police were among officers who answered calls from drivers who saw a man with a gun Thursday on the Popp’s Ferry Bridge.

Gulfport Police and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office also responded.

Harrison county coroner Gary Hargrove says 37 year old Wesley Sheppard died on the bridge.

He would not say how many times Sheppard was shot.

Biloxi Police Chief John Miller says Gulfport Police investigated the crime scene and The Mississippi Bureau Of Investigation has since taken over the investigation.
