Biloxi celebrates its Third annual Pride Day on Coast

It may be the end of Pride Month, but members of the LGBTQ community on the Coast ended the month with a big celebration in Biloxi.

The third annual Gulf Coast Pride Day was held on Saturday at Point Cadet Park. Multiple musical acts and an afternoon drag show were headlining features of the event and food trucks and local vendors set up shop for people to enjoy.

A key goal of Pride Day is to raise awareness in the community about LGBTQ issues. Noel Tauzin with the Gulf Coast Association of Pride said, “To see this in Biloxi, just literally blocks away from where I grew up, is amazing to me. I never thought we would see this in the City of Biloxi or along the Gulf Coast.”

Pride Day will return next summer for the fourth year.
