Third annual ‘Daddy Daughter Dance’

Calling all fathers! It’s time to get the Mardi Party going with your daughters.

The third annual ‘Daddy Daughter Dance’ put on by Gulfport Leisure Services is set for Friday and Saturday evening.

Fathers and their little princesses have the chance to take center stage to dance, take pictures, and make memories that will last a lifetime. The dance is open for girls ages five to 12.

The City of Gulfport says it is a very popular event and they won’t be selling tickets at the door so getting yours sooner than later is a good idea. LaShaundra McCarty with Gulfport Public Affairs said, “The first guy a girl looks up to is her father. So, she will have a moment to get dressed up in all of her Mardi Gras regalia with her father and go have a great time. I think it is an opportunity for them to be in a different kind of context. So, to be able to go to a dance is different.”

You can find tickets and t-shirts at showclix.com. You can also find the link on Gulfport’s Facebook page. Each night the dance will go from 6 to 9 p.m.
