The Salvation Army Kroc Center opening Aquatic Center for summer

A big asset to the Kroc Center is gearing up to open next week.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Kroc Center is preparing to open the Aquatic Center to the public. Starting on May 8th, the pool, slides, lazy river, and much more will officially open for the summer.

Swimming for members is free, but if you’re not a member, you can purchase $10 for a two-hour swim time at krocmscoast.org.

By spending time at the Aquatic Center, you don’t have to worry about the rain or getting a sunburn and chair lift has been donated for people with disabilities to enter the pool. Aquatic and Fitness Coordinator Chere Stevenson said, “We’re just a unique facility. We have a whole bunch of things here but I think our top thing is our swimming pool. We’ve got our big slide but you have to be four feet to ride it! We also have a zero depth area where all the little kids can swim and have a fun time too.”

The Kroc Center is currently hiring lifeguards for the summer season. If you’re interested, visit us231.dayforcehcm.com.
