The 3rd Annual Making Connections Conference was Held this Week

Teachers from around the state have gathered here on the Gulf Coast for the 3rd Annual Making Connections Conference.
Teachers from all levels of education have been attending sessions and hearing speakers since Tuesday. Educators are able to attend sessions ranging from tips on ACT prep to behavioral intervention plans for the classroom. Also, teachers have heard keynote addresses from the State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Carey Wright and best-selling author Annette Breaux.
Dr. Ann Blackwell, Dean of USM College of Education and Psychology, said, “ The Making Connections Conference is designed specifically for teachers in the state of Mississippi and our goal is to provide them with support to promote the incredibly important work that they do and to celebrate the role of teachers.”
The conference will come to a close tomorrow with a keynote address from the Mississippi Teacher of the Year, Anna Morris
