Tellis Charged for Second Murder in Monroe, Louisiana

A man facing charges of burning a 19-year-old Mississippi woman to death in 2014 is now being accused in the 2015 death of a University of Louisiana-Monroe graduate student.
Monroe Police Detective Chris Bates says a warrant for first degree murder was filed Thursday against Quinton Tellis for the slaying of 34-year-old Meing Chen Hsiao. Bates says further details will be released Friday.
Hsiao was found dead in Monroe on August 8th.
The News-Star reports Tellis pleaded guilty in May to one count each of unauthorized use of an access card that belonged to Hsiao and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, but he was not charged in her death.
Tellis is jailed in Mississippi, where he is charged with capital murder of Jessica Chambers.
