Teacher assistant at Woolmarket Elementary tests positive for COVID-19
Early Monday morning, a teacher assistant at Woolmarket Elementary arrived at school and noticed symptoms related to COVID-19.
Instead of going inside the school, she turned her car around and went home. When the teacher assistant found out she tested positive for coronavirus, she immediately notified school administrators. District staff conducted contact tracing, and any teacher and staff member who came in contact with the teacher assistant over the weekend within the 48-hour time frame was notified and sent home to be quarantined.
They were advised to get tested, monitor for symptoms, and to follow all health and safety protocols prior to returning to school.
