The City of Ocean Springs has paid off its $500,000 settlement in the discrimination lawsuit with Psycamore Psychiatric Clinic.
The last council meeting of the year was a busy one for Ocean Springs.
Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice approved the $437,500 settlement and filed the decree in U.S. District Court for a lawsuit between the owners of Psycamore Psychiatric Clinic and the City of Ocean Springs.
Officials for Ocean Springs tell News 25 a settlement with the Psycamore Psychiatric Clinic will not affect pay raises for city employees scheduled in next year’s budget.
