Tactical combat casualty care training
Being prepared for emergencies can be the difference between a tragedy and saving a life which is why police officers always take their training seriously.
This week, different police forces from across the Coast will come together at the American Medical Response building in Gulfport to be trained in the art of tactical combat casualty care.
This morning, the Gulfport Police Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department were on hand to take part in the important life-saving presentation. Harrison County Sheriff’s Department helicopter pilot Stephanie Parks said, “This is a course that the military has embraced and it has filtered through and it translates well with law enforcement because they are finding some of the same things you see in combat are the same scenarios that you find in day to day life in law enforcement.”
