Swearing in to serve the people of Gautier

The City of Gautier swears in the mayor and council who will serve the city for the next four years.

Former Councilman for Ward Three Independent Casey Vaughan is now the new elected mayor for the City of Gautier.

Tonight, elected council members took an oath to serve the people in their communities. Friends and family all witnessed the inauguration as council members spoke and gave their signature to the next council term.

Elected Mayor Casey Vaughn tells News 25 he looks forward to working together with the council and continuing plans for progression in economic development. “For myself certainly, my city, the citizens of Gautier and the employees for the last eight years. It’s been an honor and privilege. I look forward to serving another four years and working with the council. The dialogue with the council is very important to make for your mayor to be very strong and successful. We have a wonderful council and I look forward to working with all of them.”
