Suspect Identified in New Orleans Playground Shooting

A 32-year-old man has been identified as one of the suspects in a New Orleans shooting at a Ninth Ward playground that injured 17 people.
Joseph “Moe” Allen is wanted on 17 counts of attempted first-degree murder in Sunday night’s shooting. Allen was identified as one of the gunmen through the course of the investigation that began last weekend after the shooting at Bunny Friend Playground.
Officials said several hundred people were at the playground for a block party when witnesses said at least two groups of people began shooting at each other. Police said 17 people were injured in the crossfire.
Detectives are asking anyone with information in the case to come forward and to call Crime Stoppers.
