Supreme Court Denies Mississippi Abortion Appeal
The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Mississippi seeking to put in place restrictions on abortion clinics that were struck down by lower courts.
This morning, the justices refused to hear the appeal involving a law that would have forced doctors who perform abortions at clinics to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals.
It could have closed the state’s lone abortion clinic in Jackson.
The Supreme Court’s order follows Monday’s decision in which the court struck down a similar provision in Texas.
