Supplies from Waveland headed to Beaumont

An 18-wheeler packed full of donations and supplies is set to head out to Beaumont, Texas for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Infinity AP in Waveland began collecting donations from the community earlier this month and their goal was to be able to fill the truck with everything from water, non-perishable food items to cleaning supplies and tools.
Infinity explains after losing their offices in Chalmette, Louisiana from Hurricane Katrina they knew what needed to be done and wanted to help people get back on their feet. Infinity AP Sales Manager Alyssa Foley said, “We just felt the need that we needed to help in some way. It actually started with a small football pool and we encouraged all the guys to give a case of water to participate in our football pool and then we all started thinking that we’re so involved in shipping that we really should make it a little bit bigger. So, we reached out to the chamber and the fire department and the community and asked for donations and we decided that we would sponsor an 18 wheeler truck to go to Texas.”
The truck will be leaving for Beaumont, Texas tonight and hopes to distribute all the donations at the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce by Friday morning.
