Superintendent convention at the Beau Rivage

It wasn’t all fun and games at the Beau Rivage today.
Over 1,100 school officials from across the state have been attending the annual Mass/Alliance Summer Convention since Sunday. The event is put on by the Mississippi Association of School Superintendents and started in 1999.
The purpose is for superintendents and school administrators from across the state to meet at the Beau Rivage Casino where they attend sessions to help better their school districts and enhance student learning.
Event organizers say South Mississippi is a terrific place to host the annual convention. Executive Director Sam Bounds said, “The Beau Rivage is a wonderful place to host it and it’s a lovely facility. The staff here do an excellent job of serving our needs. We have plenty of break out rooms and our administrators feel comfortable, but they also feel rewarded when they come here from our sessions from the way they are treated by the Beau Rivage staff. We really, really enjoy the Biloxi area, the Coast area.”
The event will continue until Friday, July 14th.
