Students injured in Harrison County accident

Three teenage girls are recovering from injuries after their car rolled over near Harrison Central High School this afternoon.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol Spokesman Chase Elkins, the one vehicle accident happened just before noon at the intersection of Vick Road and Highway 49. The three students in the vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Elkins says all three of the girls were wearing seat belts.
One southbound lane of Highway 49 was shut down as crews worked the scene.
